Encountering our Southern Border: Join me

By Patrice Swick

Welcome to encountering Love a creation of the Social Justice & Life Office of the Diocese of Erie.

As the director of the Social Justice & Life Office, I will be traveling to El Paso, Texas to volunteer with the Annunciation House May 11-May 25. The Annunciation House is a hospitality center that serves the poorest of the poor.  It is managed by volunteers and religious communities across the country and provides temporary emergency housing, food, clothing, and basic hygiene needs for upwards of 700 refugees per day.  They subscribe to Matthew 25:

For I was hungry and you gave me food
I was thirsty and you gave me drink
a stranger and you welcomed me

Follow my journey by subscribing to encountering Love and meet our sisters and brothers who are serving and being served.
Let us encounter God, encounter Love, together.
